Dan represents clients in real estate litigation and transactions, estate planning and probate, and general civil litigation matters. He draws on his experience as a former County Court at Law Judge in Hays County handling thousands of civil and criminal matters. He is an AV-Preeminent rated lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell and recognized multiple times as a Texas Super Lawyer® (a Thompson Reuters rating service) in the area of General Litigation and Probate Matters. He served as briefing attorney to Justice Davie L. Wilson of the First Court of Appeals in Houston before practicing for several years in the commercial litigation section of a large Austin-based law firm.
Dan is a qualified mediator providing mediation and arbitration services in and around Dripping Springs. He serves as director of the Central Texas Dispute Resolution Center, is Credentialed Mediation by Texas Mediators Credentialing Association, and is a Member of the Texas Association of Mediators.
Dan is a Past President of the Hays County Bar Association, a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, a Fellow of the University of Texas School of Law’s Center for Public Policy Dispute Resolution, and a former Barrister Member of the Robert W. Calvert Inn of Court. In 2019, he was awarded the Hays County Bar Association’s Service Award. Dan has served in numerous community leadership roles, including as director of The Burke Center for Youth, The Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce, and HCWC (Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center). He is also a Commissioner and Past President of North Hays EMS and former Commissioner of the Dripping Springs Emergency Management Commission.
